Return to Play Wicklow RFC Covid-19 Procedures

Wicklow RFC is committed to a safe and sustainable return to all age-grade rugby. WRFC have in place a covid compliance team and each team will have a covid officer in attendance at every rugby activity; they will have responsibility for checking the responses to pre-rugby form in advance of each activity, monitoring covid compliance processes and keeping an attendance log for all activities. A meeting will be held with all players and parents in advance of Return to Rugby to provide clarity on these procedures.
All players must complete the annual club registration and pay the annual membership fee in advance of returning to rugby.

1. Initial Return to Rugby Pre-assessment:
Link will be sent to team WhatsApp group prior to the first squad meeting.
To be completed by ALL Players, coaches and management 48 hours in advance of initial return to rugby. This pre-assessment will hold the name of player, parent and a phone number for contact tracing.
NO PRE-ASSESSMENT -NO ATTENDANCE AT ANY CLUB ACTIVITY- NO PLAY
This must be redone if a Player, coach or manager is absent from club activities for 14 days.
2. Pre-Rugby Assessment:
The form must be completed within 24 hours of each and every rugby activity by ALL Players, Coaches and Management. Link will be posted to Team WhatsApp group. Players will not be admitted to training if the assessment is not complete. Players should not attend the club if YES is answered to any of the form questions.
NO PRE-RUGBY ASSESSMENT – NO PLAY/NO ATTENDANCE AT CLUB ACTIVITIES
Training/Team Activities:
1. Players should wash hands prior to arrival. Access to dressing rooms and club house facilities is prohibited. Players should try and use bathroom before leaving home but if necessary will be available.
2. Parents/guardians not directly involved in training session are not permitted to attend or observe training. Parents must either stay in the vehicle or leave the grounds and return at the appointed collection time. Parents/Guardians of players with specific medical conditions can remain in Car Park incase of emergency, providing they adhere to Guidelines.
3. Players MUST ARRIVE TO APPOINTED DROP ZONE no more than 5 minutes prior to session commencing. PRE-RUGBY PREASSESSMENT MUST BE COMPLETE BEFORE ARRIVAL.
4. POST TRAINING, players must leave immediately. Collection from appointed DROP ZONE ONLY
5. Hands should be washed and sanitised as soon as possible.
6. If a player becomes unwell after training, they should first contact their GP/HSE and then inform their club. The club will then follow advice provided to them by the HSE on the next steps.
7. Members should be encouraged to remind other members of the guidelines, in a respectful manner, when they witness poor practices.
8. Repeated poor practice will result in sanction.
